FttH network design software

FTTH DESIGN AND FIBER PLANNING SOFTWARE

Automatic, cost optimized, FTTH design, engineering & fiber planning software.

ITSimplicity Solutions creates automatic network design & project planning software for the simplified engineering, planning and building of FTTH/FTTX Optical Fiber Networks.

With our software you are ready to automatically create accurate, high quality,?GEO referenced, high-level and? low-level (detailed) FTTH/FTTX designs.

Our unique optimization algorithms enhance the design speed and reduce the optical fiber network materials & installation costs drastically.

The advanced online design reporting and project planning software will simplify your project management activities.

Create quick & cost-optimized designs, start planning your project with ITS-Fiber Engineer™

Design: we use the Autodesk platform with professional design functionality and multi-platform options.
Optimization: unlimited amount of iterations, alternative modelling of the fiber network.
Online planning: the data is secured. It is hosted by Microsoft Azure Cloud. All communication is SSL encrypted.
On-line support, documentation and instruction movies. Using our software together with walk-out survey tools.

Existing data and survey

By using modern tools we can capture important route and premises information with some level of accuracy.
Existing aerial and duct routes, existing equipment locations and building data can be registered with survey tools.
The survey data can be processed and edited in the office.
Possible new aerial and/or duct routes are added to the survey results.
By using the survey data together with any proposed/optional routes, the FttH network design will be automatically made by the ITSimplicity Solutions software.

Our automatic design will show:

All existing and new network items, routes and customer connections.
The BOQ costs report, the financial proposal automatically generated per area.
Detailed information with proposed manhole/handhole/pole coordinates.
Detailed information with terrain details and quantities.
Per area, the design will give a good view of the proposed network and the related costs.

Before starting the walk-out survey.

The scope of the survey work is defined.
What is the area? (A printout/Tablet view of the area boundary line on a map)
If there are already proposed routes and other relevant info they can be made visible in the printout or via a Tablet.

We can use a checklist.

This is just an example (for certain, this is not a complete list):

Survey materials:

GPS device, with direct import of items & coordinates into GoogleEarth and the ITSimplicity Solutions software
Tablet with survey forms and Autocad Mobile to sketch proposed routes and positions with direct import into the ITSimplicity Solutions software.
(Digital Camera)
(Jotting/sketch material and pencil)
(Distance measuring wheel)

Survey questions:

Routes:
Are there existing aerial routes, poles, facade?
Are there existing duct routes, manholes/handholes, equipment?
What is the ID of the pole, manhole/handhole, equipment?
What is the quality of the existing infrastructure, condition of poles, free ducts/sub-ducts?
Can you propose a route (aerial/duct/facade/else)?
If digging is involved: what is the terrain, surface type?
For any proposed routes, where are which obstacles? (Highway, bridge, river, railway, construction site, difficult terrain etc)
Photographs can be added to clarify routes, existing infrastructure and to prove that the survey is actually carried out.
What are the GPS coordinates?

Premises/endpoints:
What is the type of premises/FTU (household/shop, industrial, bank/office, 4G/5G cell site)?
How many FTU (Fiber termination unit) or households per building are there?
What is/are the ID per FTU (housenumber(s), buildingname)?
Is the building to be connected via aerial/duct/facade/else?
Is there a visible entrypoint of the building (coordinate/sketch)?
If there is an existing drop, what are the coordinates of this drop (sketch) or to which pole is the building connected?
Are there special requirements, additional lengths (how much)?
What are the GPS coordinates?
